SSC MTS exam is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for selecting candidates in General Central Service Group-C non-gazetted, non-ministerial posts in various ministries, departments and offices of the Govt of India. The candidates shortlisted for multi-tasking staff posts are salaried with Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission with basic pay of Rs. 5,200-20,200 + Grade Pay Rs.1,800.
SSC MTS RECRUITMENT – ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
You are eligible to appear in the SSC multi-tasking staff notification exam if you qualify the following eligibility conditions regarding age and education:
Age Limit and Relaxation
You must fall in the age bracket of 18 to 25 years. Note that your birth date should reflect in your matriculation/secondary exam certificate. Age relaxation applies as per the government norms. For more information refer the detailed official notification given at the end of this article. Some of the age relaxations are:

Educational Qualifications
You must have passed Matriculation Examination OR equivalent from a recognized Board. If you have not acquired butwill acquire the educational qualification and be able to show documentary evidence from the Board/ University in support of the same, as on the date specified by SSC you will also be eligible.
SELECTION PROCEDURE & EXAM PATTERN
The examination of SSC MTS 2019 will be conducted in three different levels:
SSC MTS Paper I: Written Test
PET & PST (only for havaldar)
SSC MTS Exam Pattern For Paper I
SSC MTS Paper I will have four sections.
There will be Computer-Based Examination which is divided in 2 Sessions. Session-I and Session-II
The duration of the SSC MTS Exam will be 90 minutes for General Candidates and 120 minutes for PwD Candidates.
Paper I is an objective type paper with four MCQs out of which one will be correct.
There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2 and there will be no negative marking in Session-1
